Overview
The NVivo Add-In for OneNote enables you to export content from OneNote 2007 or 2010 for import into NVivo. You can export selected pages, sections or entire notebooks from OneNote to an export file (.nvoz).
When you import your OneNote pages, they are converted to document sources—however, other source types (for example, picture sources and PDFs) may be created, if your pages include attached files, as explained in the following table:
Contents of the page | Is converted to |
Text only (or text with embedded graphics). |
Document source which you can edit in NVivo. The document is assigned to the source classification 'Reference', and information about the page (for example, date created and author) is converted into source attribute values. |
Text with an attached file in a supported format for document, PDF, picture, audio or video sources.
|
The text is converted to a document source which you can edit in NVivo and is assigned to the source classification 'Reference'. The attached file is imported as a new source—for example, a document or picture source. Sources created from attachments are not assigned to a classification. Attached files in unsupported formats are ignored. |
