Change the appearance of shapes and connectors

Project maps, mind maps and concept maps are made up of shapes and connectors.
Depending on the type of map you can define:

The font used for text inside shapes

The fill color in a shape
-
The line weight and color of a connector or shape border

The connector type
What do you want to do?
- Change the text displayed on a shape
- Change the formatting of text in a shape or connector
- Resize a shape or connector
- Change the fill color and border of a shape
- Change the connector type
Change the text displayed on a shape

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Select the shape.

Press F2.

Edit the text displayed on the shape.

Click OK.
Change the formatting of text in a shape or connector

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Select the shape or connector.

On the map tab, in the Format text group, select the font, point size, style or color that you want to apply.
Resize a shape or connector

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Click the shape or connector you want to change. Handles are displayed when the shape is selected.

Click and drag a handle to resize.
NOTE You can also make multiple shapes the same size, height or width using the Resize button on the ribbon.
Change the fill color and border of a shape

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Select the shape you want to format.

On the map tab, in the Format Shape group, choose an option to apply formatting to the shape.
Change the connector type

Make sure you are in edit mode.

Select the connector you want to change.

On the map tab, in the Connectors group, choose an option to change the connector type.
